Welcome to Mrs. Hart's Genetics Page! On this page you will find:
- Resources, videos, activities, and practice problems associated with 3.1 and 3.2 from your science textbooks.
- There is also a blog page where you can ask questions you have about the site and I will get an email to respond to your question immediately, other students can also respond!
- The goal of this at home project is for you to get extra practice using the skills necessary to really understand and appreciate the magnificent field of genetics!
- There are two pages on this site covering two major concepts in genetics: Mendel's Principles and Punnet Squares/Probability
- Over the next two weeks, you must work your way through these two pages and complete all the assignments associated with each page.
- You will be required to take evidence for certain websites. This evidence will be in the form of uploading something directly to me, mostly questions associated with the website material.
- The evidence is crucial! Without it, you get NO CREDIT for this project!
- Certain websites require that you have a flash media player on your computer, if you do not have one and are able, please download one. There are many available on these sites for free, these links are below.
- If you do not have permanent computer access, let me know immediately and I will arrange something for you to do during lunch or core in the computer labs.
- IF you EVER have any problems with any of the websites, or are confused with the requirements let me know immediately.
- Don't Procrastinate!! Emailing that you have problems accessing the internet on April 11th is not acceptable and you will receive a zero!

Remember there are only 2 dates I will be checking that you have submitted your evidence. The first date is April 4th, all evidence for your tasks on the Mendel's Work page are due then. The second date is April 11th, all evidence for your tasks on the Punnett's Square page are due then. After each webpage, I make a suggestion for the time when you should be doing them, but if your internet access is limited, obviously those dates might differ.
